A note regarding Covid-19 Protocols from our CEO, Kendra Aarhus.
When we started planning for the conference we knew a pivot was inevitable. Our attendees were literally screaming... okay, maybe not literally... for an in person event to happen. We were itching to return to some level of normalcy.
To be honest, planning an event with Covid protocols in place is a huge pain in the ass. I'm not even going to sugar coat this. These are not decisions I am equipped to make, and the idea of someone getting ill, or worse, at an event under my direction was a lot of weight on my shoulders. I have stayed relatively quiet on social media about Covid, much as I do about politics and religion. And, similarly, I can respect any decision that any of you make in regard to your own health.
When we set our Covid protocols it was with a few things in mind... the safety of our community, the integrity that we have to our values, and ultimately our desire to answer the call to be bold and execute a safe in person conference that people were asking us to bring.
Am I concerned about someone getting sick at our event? I absolutely am. I will hold my breath for two weeks after the conference and pray that the protocols we put in place worked and that we can safely move forward with the rest of our plans for 2021.
Thank you, in advance, for respecting these rules. I can not wait to NOT have them in place and the next invitation will be to a mass mask burning party... with extra marshmallows.
Please read our Covid-19 Protocols carefully.
